10th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser

10th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Overview

at The Barn at Parker-Binns Vineyard

Our 10th annual Empty Bowls fundraising event, presented by Saluda Outfitters, is hosted at The Barn at Parker-Binns Vineyard on Friday, October 9th, 2026 from 4-7 PM. We partner with Tryon Arts & Crafts School, along with professional potters Susan McDade, Meghan Bernard, Chloe Compton, Jim Cullen, Ann Gleason, Dee Lassiter, Cindy McKinstrie, Sam Oliver, Vienna Paulsen, and Roe Sprouls, as well as glazers Red DuMonde, Tari Gerst, Barbara Sholl, and Debbie Thompson, who work together to create, glaze, and fire hundreds of handcrafted bowls for Empty Bowls ticket holders. Local restaurants, including Green River Eddy’s Tap Room & Grill, Green River House, Huckleberry's, Iron Key Brewing Co., Sagrada, Saluda Outfitters, Southside Smokehouse & Grille, and Tryon International will provide delicious soups to sample, while Martha's Amish Bakery will offer fresh artisan breads. Guests will also enjoy live music from Rudy Cortese and Elizabeth Kronlage throughout the event.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous event sponsors for their support of Outreach and for helping make Empty Bowls possible: AdventHealth, Ashworth Financial Group, Back Alley Boutique & Bud Bar, Blue Cross Blue Shield, First Baptist Church of Tryon, HomeTrust Bank, Missi & Co. and Fortunate Finds Antiques & Art Gallery, MountainSky Builders, Parker-Binns Vineyard, Park Crossing Apartments, Saluda Outfitters, Skytop Cabinets, and Tryon Arts & Crafts School.

For more than 35 years, Empty Bowls fundraisers have brought communities together to help fight hunger. Every Empty Bowls event shares three meaningful traditions: guests enjoy a simple meal of soup and bread, receive a handcrafted bowl as a reminder of the empty bowls around the world at mealtime, and all proceeds directly support the fight against hunger. Outreach's 10th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Parker-Binns Vineyard is a family friendly event that will help provide food and hope to Polk County neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you at Empty Bowls!
