X AS INTERSECTION: Resonant Strategies
X as Intersection: Resonant Strategies is part of a five-part public program series bringing artists and curators into dialogue
Moderated by Miguel Luciano, artist and recipient of the 2021 Latinx Artist Fellowship, and Zuna Maza, Assistant Curator, El Museo del Barrio, this program will consider how explorations of tradition, memory, and cultural survivance intersect and diverge across the artistic practices of Tony Cruz Pabón, Yelaine Rodriguez, and Nitza Tufiño. Their work spans the visual languages of minimalism, sculpture, muralism, storytelling, and performance in order to recover suppressed histories. This conversation will examine how each artist activates the material reality of the everyday through their creative process.
The virtual link will be provided at a later date.
