Overview

From Market to Masala: If you love Indian food but haven’t quite felt confident cooking it at home, this class is for you.

Market to Table Series! A Two-Part Culinary Experience

From Market to Masala: Cooking Indian Flavors at Home

Note: Attendance to both classes is recommended, but not required. Each class sold separately.

If you love Indian food but haven’t quite felt confident cooking it at home, this class is for you. We’ll cook a comforting, well-rounded Indian menu with both plant-based and meat-based dishes, using ingredients you can easily find at local Indian markets.

You’ll learn how everyday Indian home cooking comes together — from gently blooming spices in oil to building layers of flavor with onions, ginger, and garlic. From simple spiced, sautéed, and simmered vegetable dishes and cozy lentil dals to familiar, comforting curries, we’ll focus on the kinds of dishes found in home kitchens across India: nourishing, spice-forward, and meant to be cooked often, shared at the table, and enjoyed as part of everyday life.
