LaunchU is used in over 100 locations across the U.S. to help entrepreneurs start and grow their business, even when they have little or no business background.With LaunchU, you will develop a start-up plan that will help you not only START, but SUCCEED in business. Deadline to register is February 27th. THE 8-WEEK COURSE WILL:<ul><li>give you a specific roadmap for starting a business</li><li>expose you to subject matter experts such as accountants, lawyers, marketing experts &amp; more</li><li>challenge you to define and be prepared for the best and worst</li><li>help position you to fund your business help you develop the network of resources and peers a business owner needs</li></ul>- MONDAYS from 6 to 9PM on March 9, 16, 23, 30, April 6, 13, 20, and 27<ul><li>Participants will meet with their coach to get assistance in small groups.</li><li>Lectures led by WBC Facilitator</li><li>Participants will meet with their coach to get assistance in small groups</li></ul>- COST: $75- IN PERSONWomen's Employment Network, 4328 Madison Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64111 WBC GUEST FACILITATORKate Duffy - Author EducatorKate Duffy has taught Launch U and other business start-up classes since 1993 in Kansas City while serving in various educational roles at area colleges and universities. A writer by training, Ms. Duffy received her M.S. in journalism from the University of Kansas, wrote a monthly careers column for The Kansas City Star for six years and has written four books about employment, including three about employment for people with disabilities. Her last book, Developing Talents: Careers for Individuals with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism was coauthored with Dr. Temple Grandin and focuses on removing employment barriers for those on the autism spectrum.
