Overview

The Surfrajettes are stopping by the Moon Room on The "Road Dogs" Tour as they celebrate 10 years! Featuring special guest Bethlehem Shalom.

The Surfrajettes are a four-piece instrumental combo from Toronto, ON, Canada. Since forming in late 2015, the band has charmed audiences with their clever mix of psychedelic rock and reverb-drenched surf music, sky-high beehives, go-go boots, and eyeliner as thick as their guitar strings.

The band achieved viral online notoriety from their home-made performance videos and their feature by Norman’s Rare Guitars in LA. The debut 45 single “Party Line / Toxic” released late 2018 on Hi-Tide Recordings to immediate success. The band has toured extensively in its support, including performances on The Beach Boys Cruise, The Melissa Etheridge Cruise, at Nashville BoogieWild O Fest in Mexico City, The New England Shake-Up!Surf Guitar 101 ConventionTiki Oasis & Hi-Tide Summer Holiday: Asbury Park.

Hailing from the remote wilds of Bathtub, Alaska and now rooted in the vibrant music scene of Los Angeles, Bethlehem Shalom is a singer, songwriter, and producer with a sound all her own. She calls it Space Age Soul Pop—a genre-bending blend of vintage soul, bluesy grit, and futuristic pop.

Bethlehem has shared stages with notable acts like Medium Build, Magic Giant, and Lovely the Band, and appeared at festivals including Angry Young and Poor and Sundown Festival. Her breakout moment came with a haunting, slowed-down cover of The Black Keys’ “Tighten Up”—a fan favorite that went viral on TikTok with over a million views and even earned a repost from SZA on her Instagram story, introducing Bethlehem’s soulful style to a much wider audience. Her recent original release “Rapunzel” continues to build on that momentum—a campy fairytale with soul, blending retro-pop flair with a rebellious twist and flipping the script on traditional narratives.
