Thank you for making our outdoor experiences one of the most popular outings in the DMV!All of our bird walks and trips are FREE and open to the public, except where noted to cover associated programming costs. Your generous support plays a crucial role in sustaining our programming, which includes our world-class guides. If you have binoculars, please bring them along, and we do have a limited number of spare binoculars available for use. Space can be limited, so registration is mandatory to ensure that everyone has a joyous experience in nature. See you outside!

Join DC Bird Alliance for a very special bird walk that invites us to discover — or rediscover — what it means to be a birder. What connects in your mind, body, and spirit when you hear a tiny soprano in perfect pitch singing from the trees?Together with <a href="https://www.susanwestmontgomery.com/" title="https://www.susanwestmontgomery.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Susan West Montgomer</a>y, certified forest bathing guide, we’ll slow down, cultivate curiosity, and experience birds and nature more fully. This walk blends gentle bird observation with the practice of forest bathing, which invites participants to use all of their senses to take in the sights, sounds, and scents of the forest. More than a walk in the woods, forest bathing is a conscious choice to be present and immersed in nature.We’ll move at a relaxed pace, observe our surroundings, and reflect.
