Learn about the Adoption Process in these two-part intensive online workshops. Both workshops provide you with the necessary educational foundation for your adoption journey. 

Registration for Parts l and ll are for homestudy clients of Adoption Connection only.  

All Adoption Connection homestudy clients are required to register and attend Part I and Part II of the Preparing for Adoption Workshops. Attendance is mandatory, and all attendees will receive a certificate of completion after attending both workshops.

Part I Topics Include:

• The Current Landscape of the Adoption Journey

• Elements of Matching with Birthparents

• Considerations before Deciding to Adopt Transracially

• Birthfather Rights and Determining their Risk to an Adoption 

• Understanding ICPC

• Understanding the Fees in Adoption

• The Ideal Mindset for the Journey of Adoption

Part I will include adoption case stories, group discussions, the ability to ask questions in a supportive environment, and the opportunity to gain community and connection with other families starting their adoption journey.

Fees:

$150 per attendee for each one day session (Separate registration required for Part II)

Fee is nonrefundable and NOT transferable to a different event.
