What ages can perform in the open mic?

Accepted Answer

Youth ages 13 to 24 can participate in the open mic and be eligible for prizes. Everyone else is welcome as audience members.

Where will the event be located within Harold Washington Library?

Accepted Answer

The open mic will be held in the YOUmedia space located on the first floor of Harold Washington Library, with a hallway entrance near the escalator going up.

I want to come to the event but I don't want to perform, is that alright?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Feel free to grab a free ticket and just attend as an audience member.

Question 4

How will you determine who performs at the open mic?

Accepted Answer

We will determine open mic sign ups and performance order in person at the event when you arrive. Early or on time arrival is suggested.
