Teetotal Initiative is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)3 non-profit focused on individuals committed to a sober lifestyle.Teetotal Initiative’s inclusive and sober-focused high-quality programming addresses some of the most common causes of relapse - isolation, boredom, and loneliness. Our mission is to help individuals to sustain sobriety. Our goal is to enhance quality of life and support relapse prevention through free events, activities, and high-quality programming.​As the first-of-its-kind recreational sober community, Teetotal Initiative inspires a stigma-free and celebratory social atmosphere, promoting meaningful sobriety and community opportunities for all, regardless of their journey to recovery. We welcome all forms of recovery and are not aligned to any specific program. Teetotal Initiative does not provide support groups or professional medical services. Instead, we care for the “rest of life” that happens outside of formal treatment and group support and are a complement to anyone’s recovery toolbox.

The Education Partnership

Join us for our second Teetotal Gives Back&nbsp;opportunity as we come together in service and community with The Education Partnership, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting students and teachers in under-resourced schools across Southwestern Pennsylvania.On Saturday, January 17th from 11:30 AM–2:30 PM, we’ll spend the afternoon volunteering at The Education Partnership’s facility, helping ensure that classrooms across our region have the supplies they need to thrive. Lunch will be provided&nbsp;as a thank-you for your time and care.Founded in Pittsburgh, The Education Partnership has served more than 374,000 students in 201 schools&nbsp;across eight counties, distributing over $65 million worth of school resources&nbsp;to Pre-K through 12th-grade classrooms at no cost to teachers or students. Their work directly supports schools where at least 70% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, helping close gaps in access to essential educational materials.Volunteer activities may include:<ul><li>📦 Building Core Supply Boxes&nbsp;for teacher distribution</li><li>📊 Counting and sorting inventory&nbsp;to support efficient operations</li><li>🔬 Supporting the STEAM Hub&nbsp;by organizing materials and curriculum</li><li>🚗 Assisting in the Teacher Resource Center, greeting teachers and helping load supplies</li></ul>No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to help and be part of something meaningful. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back, connect with others in the Teetotal community, and support education across our region in a sober, service-driven space.Space may be limited, so please RSVP in advance.
