Lost Mountain Wine Dinner with Joshua Grainer, MW

Lost Mountain Wine Dinner with Joshua Grainer, MW

VermilionAlexandria, VA
Thursday, Feb 19 from 6 pm to 8 pm EST
Overview

Join us to welcome winemaker and managing director of Lost Mountain Vineyards (formerly RdV) for a four-course wine dinner!

RdV has been considered the leader in Virginia wine production since their opening in Delaplane in 2011. Their 18 acres of vineyards, including their famed Lost Mountain Vineyard, planted along premium exposed slopes of rocky soils on the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains have set them apart with elite red grapes for Bordeaux-style blends that express the Virginia terroir in a wholly singular way. In fact, the Lost Mountain vineyard has been named an "American Grand Cru" by wine publications such as Decanter Magazine, and the wines made from this vineyard have had many in the wine industry looking toward Virginia as the next best American wine region.

In June 2024, in the first European purchase of an East Coast winery, RdV was purchased by renowned 2nd Growth Bordeaux producer, Château Montrose! This investment is a huge testiment to the power of these wines to showcase the great potential of the Virginia wine terroir, and Château Montrose's decision to keep the team intact at the now Lost Mountain Vineyards, is a testamant to the amazing wine that winemaker and master of wine Joshua Grainer has produced here in Virginia.

We are so excited to welcome Joshua to Vermilion for a four-course meal paired with his fine Virginia Wines! He will present his wines and give insight into their winery and vineyard management.
