Poems as Portals: Navigating the Threshold from What's Ending to What's Emerging; A Transformative Poetry Workshop with Audrey T. Williams What if poetry could meet you exactly at your imaginal threshold, the tender space between what's falling away and what's not yet born? No previous writing experience is required. In this interactive workshop at the intersection of poetry and somatics, we'll do a close read of carefully curated poems, letting rhythm and repetition lead us to what we are feeling in our bodies. Through reflective group discussion, you'll discover how holding multiple perspectives in community can lead to emergent meaning-making. Next, a short generative writing session offers the chance to write (with the option to share) from your own growing edge. This session isn't about deciphering symbolism to guess at what the poet meant. It's about what each poem awakens in you.
