Founded in 1976, Washington Lawyers for the Arts (WLA) is a nonprofit service organization dedicated to supporting the arts in Washington state by creating alliances and making legal resources accessible to artists and arts organizations of all disciplines.

Get to know the purpose of the Copyright Claims Board (CCB)— the first small claims tribunal for creators and attorneys.

<p>This one-hour session will provide a comprehensive overview of the Copyright Claims Board (CCB)— the first small claims tribunal designed for adjudicating copyright claims. You will learn about the CCB’s origins, structure, procedures, and resources, including a live demonstration of eCCB, the Board’s electronic case management system.</p><p>Designed for volunteer lawyers, this session will help you become better equipped to support clients who are participating or considering participating in a CCB proceeding. A 10-minute Q&amp;A period will allow attendees to raise questions.</p>
