The Death of Nero
A story across time of a Russian artist in 1919 and the legendary Emperor Nero of Rome. Betrayal, Violence, Art, Love, and Horror ensue.
In this esoteric exploration of power, art, and decline, a Russian poet Pavel Lukin in 1919 visits rome having written a biographical play about Nero. While he thinks it's of great importance his critics disagree finding it's too modern and hysteritcal. Meanwhile in Nero's life we watch him grow and rise to power and the ways in which wealth and power change or perhaps reveal the nature of our humanity. As Rome falls, who will live, and what will they do to survive?
