TheDepartment of Politics and Global Affairs at Portland State Universityis dedicated to understanding the nature of power and governance, and to addressing global concerns such as social justice, human rights, war and peace, development, environmental protection, inequality, health, labor rights and poverty alleviation. We offer undergraduate and graduate programs in both Political Science and International and Global Studies. Our events are always free and open to the community!

Unlikely Partners: Building Support for the Arts in Portland Artists and arts organizations in Portland often talk with each other about the problems confronting the arts community. But the problems won't be resolved if all the arts community does is just keep talking only to itself. Whether it is addressing local concerns of an individual arts organization or tackling the larger challenges to the arts community, cooperation with non-arts organizations is central to invigorating the arts in Portland.
