<h3>Who should attend</h3>The initiative is intended for neurologists, physiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physical and occupational therapists.<h3>Program Overview</h3>Improve your ability to identify muscle groups, explore treatment for spasticity and movement disorders, engage in multidisciplinary care, and participate in hands-on opportunities with two unique, profession-specific tracks.MD/DO/NP/PA Topics<ul><li>Ultrasound guidance demonstrations and scanning workshops</li><li>Injection training with models</li><li>Toxin handling: dosing, dilution, draw-up, and beyond</li><li>Patient injection demonstrations with ultrasound demonstrations</li><li>Hands-on injection training</li></ul>PT/OT Topics<ul><li>Functional and gross muscle anatomy, featuring cadaver videos</li><li>Video case studies on post-chemodenervation therapy and individualizing care</li><li>Videos of casting, splinting, and other techniques</li><li>Patient injection demonstrations</li></ul> The IMPACT™ Initiative Annual Workshop Series (IMproving Patient Assessment and Chemodenervation Treatment) will provide an interactive and comprehensive opportunity to improve your knowledge, confidence, and proficiency in essential aspects of spasticity and movement disorder management. This workshop aims to enhance patient outcomes from chemodenervation procedures by improving participants’ ability to recognize clinical patterns, identify muscle targets, and perform procedures confidently and skillfully, including using ultrasound guidance in these procedures.This initiative will feature two specific tracks tailored to the unique educational needs of doctors/NPs/PAs and PTs/OTs. Our doctors/NP/PA track focuses on ultrasound use, injection demonstrations, and hands-one injection training. The PT/OT track will explore clinical and gross anatomy, considering implications for treatment utilizing cadaver videos, review chemodenervation principles, and feature video demonstrations of splinting and casting.All participants will have the opportunity to explore strategies for multidisciplinary care and will participate in the expert-led patient injection demonstrations of ultrasound-guided chemodenervation procedures.For full agenda and track-specific learning objectives. please visit www.impact-smd.com/agenda
