Spice up the new year with the return of our resident jazz-combo Manouche Urbain and special guest, Grammy-nominated trumpeter Rich Kelley.

This year is coming in HOT with the return of our resident jazz-combo Manouche Urbain and the Concert Series debut of trumpeter Richard Kelley.The career of Grammy-nominated trumpeter Richard Kelley is not only a testament to the versatility of his instrument, but also the ability of one individual to excel across the broadest possible range of music. From Symphony Orchestras and chamber music, to jazz, studio work, and Broadway shows, Mr. Kelley has built a formidable track record of working at the highest level of the profession. His work can be heard on a variety of recordings, from national commercials for Pepsi and IBM, to the Oscar and Golden Globe-winning soundtrack to Disney’s Pocahontas. He has collaborated with artists across multiple genres including Andrea Bocelli, Yoyo Ma, Ray Charles, James Taylor, Set MacFarlane, Boston (the band), Jimmy Page, Steven Tyler, John Williams, and Danny Elfman.A Boston native, Mr. Kelley performs regularly with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Boston Philharmonic, and other surrounding orchestras. He has also performed with the Metropolitan Opera, the Brooklyn Philharmonic, the New York Pops, and many other orchestral ensembles. From 1987-1994 he was a member of the groundbreaking Meridian Arts Ensemble-the first brass quintet ever to win the prestigious Concert Artists Guild competition.Come hear for yourself on Friday, January 23 at St. Ignatius Parish in Chestnut Hill at 7:00pm (doors will open at 6:30pm)! Like all of our concerts, this concert is FREE to attend, with a suggested $20 donation. Join us and get your groove on!
