Ford International Airport’s $600M <a href="https://flyford.org/elevate/" title="https://flyford.org/elevate/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ELEVATE</a> project. The project will bring together the core functions of renting and servicing vehicles for all the agencies that rent at the airport.Today rental car pick-up and return takes place on the first floor of the airport parking garage. Each car visits a remote facility for cleaning and preparations before the next rental. A CONRAC will allow for space for both functions, ready/return, and quick turnaround, to happen in the East Lot. More than 2,000 construction jobs will be created, cumulatively, for the entirety of the project.The introduction of a 3-story Quick Turn-Around facility (QTA) dedicated to rental car operations will reduce vehicle miles traveled by about three miles per vehicle, or 600,000 miles per year, saving approximately $84,000 in fuel cost. Additionally, up to 90% of water used for the CONRAC car wash will be recycled.Join us to learn about:<ol><li>How this new facility will reduce 600,000 miles in rental vehicle travel, by removing the round trip from remote fueling facilities.</li><li>How the car wash equipment will reduce the use of water by 90%.</li><li>The increased safety and comfort for rental customers, by keeping them within the terminal environment until reaching their vehicle.</li><li>The code implications of providing a multi-level fueling system within a building. * Site safety requires closed toed footwear (steel toes not required), hard hats are required to have chin straps (there are plenty on site for visitors), cut level 5 gloves and standard eye protection.*</li></ol>
