Overview

Go beyond the basics with a Master Blender–led tour, technical insight, and a high-proof specialty tasting.

Step deeper into the craft behind Brother Justus with a behind-the-scenes distillery tour led by our Master Blender, James Jefferson.

This experience takes you beyond the basics, exploring how our whiskey goes from grain to glass—all made on-site at our Minneapolis distillery. You’ll dive into the technical decisions that shape flavor, learn about Minnesota’s lesser-known whiskey history, and hear firsthand why our approach to craft and quality is intentional at every step.

You’ll also get an inside look at how Cold-Peated® Whiskey is made, and how it’s helping define an entirely new category in American whiskey.

Following the tour, enjoy a guided tasting of our flagship whiskeys - American Single Malt, Cold-Peated®, and Silver Whiskey - and a bonus tasting of a high-proof specialty release, offering a deeper look at proof, blending, and balance.

Tour guests receive 20% off bottles and branded merchandise on the day of the tour.

This tour is perfect for whiskey enthusiasts, curious drinkers, and anyone who wants to understand the why behind the whiskey—from the person who shapes the final blend.

Tours will begin as soon as the entire group has arrived, or no later than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. Guests are encouraged to call us at (612) 886-1658 if they are running late.

Brother Justus Whiskey Co. is a strictly 21+, ID-verified establishment. No guest under the age of 21 will be admitted to the distillery or Cocktail Room, including infants and children in strollers. All guests will need to show proof of photo ID upon entry, even if not intending to drink alcohol. We card everyone; no exceptions. Thank you for your understanding!
