Drifting Roots is an original reggae-rock band based in Central Florida, founded in San Diego, California in 2018 by songwriter, producer, and frontman Matthew Mavericks. Blending uplifting melodies with soulful rhythms and thoughtful lyricism, Drifting Roots delivers a sound rooted in positivity, resilience, and connection.

All music is written, recorded, and produced by Mavericks in his Florida home studio, giving the project a hands-on, independent spirit that resonates with fans worldwide. Since 2020, Drifting Roots has toured relentlessly across the country, sharing the stage with genre-defining artists including Rebelution, Collie Buddz, Steel Pulse, Julian Marley, The Movement, Mike Love, and Authority Zero.

The band has earned notable chart success with two Top 5 iTunes reggae albums, Life Is Good (2021) and Meant To Be(2022), followed by the 2024 EP Find A Way. From the East Coast to the West Coast and everywhere in between, Drifting Roots continues to bring their high-energy live show to fans nationwide.
