Black Warrior Riverkeeper’s mission is to protect and restore the Black Warrior River and its tributaries. We are a citizen-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting clean water for the sake of public health, recreation, and wildlife habitat throughout our patrol area, the Black Warrior River watershed.

Black Warrior Riverkeeper is teaming up with Birmingham District 1 to clean up part of our watershed!

Join us for a day of service on Monday, January 19th, 2026.Safety: This event will take place along the roadside in an area that may not have sidewalks, so please only sign up if you feel comfortable with this. ALL children must be accompanied by an adult.What we encourage volunteers to wear/bring:1. Comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little wet or dirty (preferably long pants)2. Closed-toed shoes3. WaterWhat we will provide:1. Garbage bags2. Gloves &amp; Litter Pickers3. Safety Vests
