Let’s get together on Thursday January 1 2026 to celebrate Haitian Independance Day with a warm bowl of soup joumou.::::Let’s unite on that glorious day to honor our brave ancestors who sacrificed their lives for our freedom and reflect on the constant challenges we are facing as a nation in modern times.:::: ::::We will serve the traditional soup joumou carefully prepared by Mama Carmen who has been serving the community for 35+ years with the most authentic and delicious Haitian food.:::: :::: ::::Mama Carmen still wears her crown as the #1 catering chef for popular Haitian celebrities like Wyclef Jean, Garcelle Beauvais, Phylissia Ross, Alan Cave and many more.:::: :::: :::: ::::Food is available for preorder, dine-in, pickup, or delivery on a first-come first-served basis. Reserve your plate now to skip the waiting line for dine-in, pickup, or delivery and save yourself the headache of food running out on you. Delivery requires using your own Uber Courier for the pickup and communicate with the organizer via text first and call if you don't receive a response within 5-10 minutes using the phone number 323-499-6743.:::: :::: :::: :::: ::::We will serve soup joumou until 4:00 PM or when the food runs out. We will also serve diri djondjon, griot, bannann peze, and pikliz starting at 2:00 PM.:::: :::: :::: :::: :::: ::::We will end the historic day with a strictly Konpa dance session mixed by DJ Shiny from 4PM to 7PM.:::: :::: :::: :::: :::: :::: ::::Join us as we cherish this important moment in our history as the first free and independant black nation, culture, and community. We will have historical discussions, music, dominoes, cards, chess and other games available on site.:::: :::: :::: :::: ::::::: :::: ::::Free Haitian Flag for all. We have 300 flags available.Free Admission for adults and kids. Doors open at 10:00 AM.Free Admission for adults only Konpa dance session after 4:00 PM.Donation is welcome and greatly appreciated.
