Come join us at Sinkyone Wilderness State Park for a day of giving back to nature! Help restore coastal prairies by removing invasive non-native plants and encroaching vegetation.

  • Volunteers receive 1 free day use pass to Sue-meg State Park.
  • All events are free to the public and all ages welcome (minors must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian).
  • Pulling out invasive species is a moderate activity and participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes for walking off trail, bring loppers if you have them, a hat, work gloves, and water.
  • Meet at the Jones Beach trailhead for the March 7 and April 25 events. Jones Beach Trailhead – the trailhead is about 1 mile north of the visitor center. So you will see the trailhead before reaching the VC.(GPS coordinates 39°57'11.5"N 123°58'10.1"W)
  • Meet at the Needle Rock Visitor Center for the July 25 event.
  • Free camping for volunteers the night before and after the event. RSVP for camping 1 week prior to event by contacting Michelle Forys: Contact michelle.forys@parks.ca.gov OR call (707) 677-3109 for information.
