Surprisingly not. Most people arrive a little nervous, which is completely normal for a dating event. Our facilitators are trained to help everyone feel comfortable from the moment they walk in with structured icebreakers. Before long, the nerves give way to laughter and genuine connection.

I’ve never done Tantra before. Is this for me?

Absolutely. No experience is needed. Despite the name, Tantra Speed Date® is less about Tantra and more about authentic connection. Most people come simply looking to meet great people in a refreshing, more human way.

Can I come alone?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Most people come on their own. In fact, many tell us they’re glad they did because everyone is meeting for the first time together. You’ll feel welcomed from the moment you arrive.

What if I’m shy or introverted?

Many of our attendees are. So is our founder. That’s one reason the evening is guided from beginning to end, so you’ll never be left wondering what to say next. Most introverts tell us they leave feeling energized, connected, and glad they came.

Do I have to do anything I’m uncomfortable with?

No. Every experience is an invitation. You can participate fully, modify an exercise, or simply sit one out. You’re always at choice. We begin by creating shared agreements around consent and respect, so everyone can relax and be themselves.

What happens at the event?

We start with facilitated icebreakers to help everyone loosen up. Then we gather as a group to make a few simple agreements around consent and respect. Your facilitator then guides everyone through playful one-on-one Dating Stations. Most people leave wondering why all dating isn’t like this.

Will I know what to say?

Most people are surprised by how easy it feels. The Dating Stations include a variety of guidance, conversation prompts, and simple instructions, so you’ll never be left wondering what to say or do next. The structure allows connection to flow naturally without relying on small talk.

What kinds of exercises will we do?

Each Dating Station explores a different way of connecting. Some are playful, some reflective, some involve movement, and some may include touch. All are optional. You’re always free to participate, modify an exercise, or simply sit one out.

How long is each date?

Most Dating Stations are about 2-3 minutes long. You’ll have just enough time to explore a connection before meeting someone new.

What if I don’t feel a spark with someone?

That’s completely normal. Every Dating Station is intentionally brief, and each explores a different aspect of connection. One connection may not click, while the next one surprises you.

How do matches work?

At the end of each date, women indicate interest by placing a bead into a man’s pouch. We’ll email those connections within 24 hours. From there, either person is welcome to continue the conversation.

What should I wear?

Dress and groom as you would for a first date, not a yoga class. Wear something you feel attractive in and can move comfortably in. We’ll remove our shoes for much of the evening, and we ask everyone to avoid strong scents out of consideration for others.

What is Tantra?

Tantra means different things to different people. At Tantra Speed Date®, it’s simply about presence and connection. We’ve borrowed a few ideas from Tantra and blended them with many other approaches to create a better first date.

What ages is this for?

Most of our events are open to all adults. If an event has a suggested age range, it will be listed in the title. You’ll typically find a mix of ages, with the largest group between 30 and 50, plus some younger and some older singles. Many people are surprised by how much they enjoy the mix.

What if I don’t match with anyone?

94.09% of attendees make at least one connection. If you don’t, your next Tantra Speed Date® is on us. Simply email us after the event and we’ll make it happen.

What’s the difference between ticket types?

No difference other than price and availability:
Early Bird: lowest price, sells out first
General: Available after Early Bird sells out.
Last Minute: Limited and typically appear just before the event sells out. If you see them, don't wait!
