Overview

The Bay’s fashion camp empowers youth to build creativity, technical sewing skills, and confidence through hands-on upcycling projects!

Fashion 101 (Up-Cycling) Camp | Ages 8-14 | June 9-12 | 9 AM-4 PM

This camp is designed for youth who are excited about exploring the world of fashion design and sewing. Tailored for beginners and those with some experience, this hands-on camp introduces youth to foundational sewing techniques, from machine operation to fabric cutting and basic garment construction. Over the week, youth will work on upcycling an existing item allowing them to apply their new sewing skills creatively! All materials and equipment will be provided.

Each participant will receive one camp t-shirt for the week and one snack each day. A signed waiver is required to attend camp. Please sign our waiver before arriving for camp: https://bit.ly/thebaywaiver.

In order to ensure equal accessibility for all youth, our camps operate on a pay-what-you-choose (PWYC) model, with a suggested donation of $240. The Bay is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that relies on community support and grants to sustain our programs. If your family is able to contribute at or above the suggested amount, you’re not just investing in your child — you’re making it possible for another young person to access the same transformative experience. Every contribution directly strengthens our ability to provide high-quality programs for all youth, regardless of their financial circumstances.
