Get your hands dirty and unleash your creativity in a pottery workshop where you'll learn the art of wheel-throwing.
This is a 5 part class to begin your pottery journey. The first few classes are around 2-hours, they are a very small class size(max of 3 students). You will learn all the basics: preparing the clay, throwing on the wheel, moisture maintenance :) and trimming.
The classes are the first Tuesday and Wednesday of the month, and the 2nd Tuesday and Wednesday of the month. The final class is after your pieces are bisque fired, we will then go over glazing and it's a shorter class.
MEMBERS may use the pottery studio after the first class, and should practice their new skills. For non MakeIt Labs members, I am there almost every Thursday from 5:30pm to 9:00pm for open house...and some weekends. Non-members can schedule a practice session with me during the 2nd class.
This intro provides a very small class size to get efficient on the basics of throwing clay on the wheel. All materials are included. Please read the confirmation email thoroughly once you sign up.
Bring an apron, you will get dirty! Watch for an additional email after sign up for some homework :).
