<h2>Africatown Port Marker Dedication</h2><p>The Africatown Middle Passage Port Marker Dedication is an intimate, community-led ceremony held at Lewis Landing in the historic Stockyard area, formally marking Africatown as a site of memory within the global UNESCO Middle Passage Port Marker Project. Grounded in prayer, ritual, and reflection, the gathering honors ancestors, elders, and descendant families while blessing the land and water that carry this history. Designed for a small invited audience of local pastors, community leaders, and public officials, the ceremony centers Africatown voices and traditions and is presented by Africatown Connections Blueway as an early moment of visibility and anticipation for the July 2026 national convening.</p>
