Philharmonic Musician Auditions—Broadway—All Instruments

With facilities in Yucca Valley and in Joshua Tree, California, for over a half century the Hi-Desert Cultural Center has served as the regional performing and visual arts center for the gateway communities of Joshua Tree National Park.  The Cultural Center operates its own performance venues and produces live theater, concerts, art exhibitions, festivals, the Joshua Tree Philharmonic symphony orchestra, an extensive educational arts and technology program for youth and adults, a Film Institute, a Dance Conservatory, and more.

Tickets always sell out.Under the baton of renowned composer and maestro Jarrod Radnich, the JPHIL pulls out all the stops to bring Broadway to Joshua Tree! Including selected guest vocalists who will perform with the JPHIL, the repertoire includes fantastic selections from The Lion King, Rent, Wicked, Rock Of Ages, The Phantom Of The Opera, West Side Story, Fiddler On The Roof, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia, Cats, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Chicago, and Evita!Rehearsals take place Monday evenings at the Cultural Center's state-of-the-art Blak Box Theater. Formed and led by renowned composer and pianist, Jarrod Radnich, the philharmonic is a mix of professional and highly dedicated amateur/student musicians. The philharmonic rehearses and performs a wide variety of musical styles from popular, classical, jazz, world, and more. Many of the musicians mentor young members and provide valuable guidance in ensemble performance. The concerts also provide an important educational opportunity for the local residents, many who would not otherwise have access to live orchestral music and instruments.
