Bystander CPR has been shown to increase the chance of survival for an individual who experiences sudden cardiac arrest. SWFD offers free courses to its community members to teach CPR and AED protocols, as well as first aid for an individual who is choking.This is a hands-on course that consists of an instructional video and exam, followed by time to practice CPR measures based on medical emergency scenarios. This class covers protocols for adults, children, and infants.For local businesses, groups, and organizations in South Walton interested in having a dedicated class for their personnel, please email cpr@swfd.org to set up a specific date and time, as well as discuss class pricing and add-on options, for your group.
