Overview

Explore the world of wine and uncover high-quality bottles at everyday prices, guided by sommelier Janet Beeby!

Wine is a grocery, not a luxury, and finding a beautiful wine at great value can be an exciting treasure hunt. Wine does not have to empty your wallet; choosing a bottle to enjoy should feel accessible, affordable and fun. In this class, you will taste your way around the world with sommelier Janet Beeby and discuss geographical regions, wine-making techniques, why some wines cost more, and where in the world to look for top-notch wines at everyday prices. The class will feature a generous snack board to complement the wines and keep appetites happy. This is an interactive event perfect for those who want to explore the world of wine but also appreciate a good value!

Look who’s teaching!: Janet Beeby is a wine educator and certified sommelier with a serious passion for wine, food, and the magic that happens when they come together. She believes wine should be fun, approachable, and thoroughly enjoyable—without ever breaking the bank. Janet loves writing and teaching about unusual wines and far-flung winemakers, sharing stories that make wine feel exciting, accessible, and downright delicious. She also really, really loves dogs. Certified through the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, Janet is also a French and Spanish wine scholar through the Wine Scholar Guild —always exploring, always learning, and always ready to share a great bottle.
