Each year the <a href="http://www.mtac.org/" title="http://www.mtac.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Music Teachers’ Association of California</a> (MTAC) hosts the State Convention, bringing together world-class artists, music educators and students to celebrate music performance and composition.Taking place June 26 through June 29, 2026, over 4,000 attendees will experience a four-day extravaganza filled with seminars, performances, recitals, presentations, and master classes. Convention pre-registration is now open! Teachers, guests, and non-members can purchase their Convention pre-registration tickets until May 31, 2026. You can view the rates below.Teacher track registration includes:<ul><li>Access to all Teacher Track Sessions, including the Keynote and Featured Artist Lecture Recital</li><li>Access to all Student Track Sessions</li><li>Access to MTAC State Program Master Classes and Program Recitals</li><li>Access to onsite Exhibit Hall &amp; Marketplace</li></ul>

Convention Onsite Registration will open online on June 26, 2026. Please note, single day tickets will no longer be available.Please purchase your registration prior to arriving at the Convention.

The 2026 Convention will take place at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel! This hotel is a Convention favorite featuring spacious rooms, a variety of grab-and-go food options, and delicious restaurants. Please see the room rates below. Due to limited space, RSVPs will be required before June 10. We will not accept any walk-ins.Our Friday Night Welcome Reception is on June 26 from 4:30 - 6:00 PM in the Malibu Garden, just in time to meet with your fellow Convention attendees before the evening Young Artist Guild Recital. This reception will feature light appetizers and a cash bar. This event is limited to 250 attendees and is first come, first served.On Monday, June 29 from 3:30 - 5:00 PM, our Monday Night Celebration is your chance to socialize and mingle with your fellow MTAC Members and Convention guests. All tickets must be purchased prior to June 10, 2026. Tickets are $50 and are limited to 5 per guest.

MTAC Convention 2026 Health ProtocolThe health and safety of MTAC Convention attendees is a top priority to MTAC. In order to provide a healthy and safe environment, MTAC strongly recommends a face covering and vaccination against COVID-19 while attending Convention events. This health and safety policy is based on guidance and recommendations issued by health authorities for events of our size.Please note this policy is subject to change. All Convention attendees will be required to agree to Music Teachers’ Association Of California Consent, Waiver and Release Agreement For Annual Convention Sessions.

Refund PolicyCancellations received in writing by email to convention@mtac.org by June 10, 2026. will receive a full refund minus a $50.00 cancellation fee per registrant. Refunds are unavailable after June 10, 2026.
