2026 Human Service Leadership and Transformation Conference (Hybrid)

This inaugural event and online production emerged from the written contributions of several scholars, practitioners, and educators in the field of human services who had an interest in publishing their work and professional experiences. The contributors enhanced our understanding about contemporary issues, trends, and challenges in the field and in our communities. As a result, there were several inquiries about exploring the possibility of professionals coming together to share their research, clinical best practice, and advocacy. Thus, a professional conference offers a unique opportunity for the exchange of ideas, encounters, and transformations that the field may benefit from.

The first conference is produced from Grand Cayman and invites human services practitioners, educators, and advocates to share their work in a professional, supportive, and caring environment. The conference provides space to discuss a myriad of human services topics that highlight leadership, community engagement, wellness, and transformation. There are diverse perspectives within the field that we are seeking to capture so that we can learn new strategies, rethink policy, and develop tools needed to manage complex circumstances or create change within our communities, agencies, and institutions. The conference allows us to reconceptualize leadership by giving us an opportunity to share our research, clinical interventions, and human service stories related to empowering and influencing others. Moreover, this initiative is an opportunity to dialogue about community engagement and the inherent challenges with confronting systems of power and inequities that fail to acknowledge the contributions of marginalized groups. Finally, this gathering of professionals creates a holistic and wellness space for professional and personal transformation as well as healing on the beautiful island of Grand Cayman.

Because this is a hybrid conference, professionals are able to attend online in Grand Cayman or elsewhere. If you present/attend in Grand Cayman, you are welcome to join us after the conference for continued dialogue or wellness activities.
