WHEN ARE UNEXPECTED PRODUCTIONS PERFORMANCES?

We host Duo Comedy Showcase on Wednesdays at 8 pm; Loose Cannons on Thursdays at 8 pm; Mainstage shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm; Theatresports on Fridays and Saturdays at 9:30 pm; and Sundays at 7:00 pm. https://unexpectedproductions.org/events

HOW LONG ARE THE SHOWS?

Unexpected Productions shows run approximately 70-90 minutes long. Since each performance is unique, it is difficult to provide an exact time.

ARE YOUR SHOWS SUITABLE FOR ALL AUDIENCES?

We categorize shows as PG13 unless stated otherwise in the show description. While we strive to make our content appropriate for both teenagers and adults, the unpredictable and interactive style of improvisation means that we cannot always guarantee the suitability of the content.

WHAT IF WE ARE CELEBRATING A SPECIAL NIGHT?

If you are celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or a bachelor/bachelorette party, please let us know. We will try to get you a shout-out from the stage or use you in a scene. We can’t always guarantee it, but we will try.

WHAT IS THE AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION?

Our performances are designed to involve you, the audience. While we do invite volunteers to participate, we never pressure anyone to come on stage or make fun of anyone. If you do choose to volunteer, we ensure that you have a good time, stay safe, and make lasting memories.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Unexpected Productions' Market Theater is located in Seattle's tourist district, Pike Place Market. Head to the main entrance at 1st and Pike, spot the brass piggy bank named Rachel, then take the stairs down to Post Alley, where you'll find the theater at the famous Gum Wall.

Hours: Our garage is open 7 days a week from 5 a.m. – 2 a.m.

We have a full bar featuring craft beers, alcohol, and wine.  Soft drinks and bottled water are available, as well as popcorn, assorted chips, and candy are available for purchase.

We offer a 20% discount for groups of 12 or more  for regular perfromances

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds or exchanges. We highly recommend that you please double-check your date and time before purchasing your tickets

We are primarily an improv theater. Occasionally we do offer guest artists and different types of performances, but it is rare.

IS IMPROV THE SAME AS STAND UP

Accepted Answer

Improv involves group collaboration to create a spontaneous story based on audience suggestions, while standup is a solo performance relying on a memorized script.
