Class Description:

Course objectives

· Explain the various types of boiler construction and system components.

· Cover safety issues with steam and hot water boiler systems.

· Review manufacturers recommended testing and maintenance procedures.

· Explain the differences between fire-tube, water-tube, sectional cast iron and condensing boiler systems.

· Explanation of Combustion and Boiler Controls


Zoom Tech. Challenges:

It is the responsibility of the member/student taking the class to have the proper resources and be proficient in how to use a computer and navigate Zoom successfully. The use of your microphone and ability to communicate with the instructor is mandatory for attendance and to receive credit for the class.

Class Cancellations:If this class has less than 6 students registered the class may be canceled. If the class is cancelled, you will be notified via email and text. Any fees paid will be refunded to the original payment method.

A Note on State Credits: State Credit will only be earned for courses that have been approved by the state. If a class is approved for credit, it will be noted in the class description. To receive state credit for a class you must attend all hours of the class. Courses are approved by the state for a fixed number of credit hours. These hours cannot be edited when submitting license numbers for credit.
