Purpose
The monthly Spirituality Club @ Manny’s is a moderated group that discusses spiritual and philosophical topics. The club is a space to reflect on personal faith, spiritual growth, and the role of spirituality in everyday life. Led by Abraxas Adams, manager at a local health nonprofit, we’ll engage in discussions, readings, and activities that deepen understanding and promote connection across different perspectives.
Format
Discussion topics are introduced by the moderator. They include beliefs, practices, and traditions from around the world, religion from a scientific or artistic perspective, religious institutions as sources of both comfort and strife, etc. Differences of opinion are to be expected but group members should try to remain civil.
We’ll look at what experts have said about these topics as well as share our own experiences and opinions. Ideally, we’ll end the session feeling that our internal “pool” of spiritual water has been refilled, we’ve learned something new, and we feel connected to each other and the cosmos.

About Clubs @ Manny's - Manny's Clubs are discussion groups that convene once a month for 90 minutes to discuss a wide variety of topics. Led by community moderators, the groups are meant to bring together ideas and build community. Groups may exchange ideas, discuss specific works or decide to take a field trip. Actionable outcome is not required but is encouraged. Participants are asked to make a 6 month or yearly commitment. Moderators will be in direct contact with participants after subscription purchase.
