A Grammy nominated soul blues singer-songwriter who has released 6 albums and was awarded the BMA soul blues artist of the year 2019 and 20.

Sugaray Rayford is a soul-blues powerhouse with a larger-than-life voice and message to match. His collaboration with producer Eric Corne has shaped three acclaimed albums blending classic soul, gritty blues, and funky R&B. Their first project, Somebody Save Me, earned a Grammy nomination and led to multiple Blues Music Awards, followed by more wins for his album In Too Deep. His newest release, Human Decency, leans into unity and compassion, with the leadoff single “Run For Cover” earning praise for its full-force, bluesy swagger.

Born in Texas and rooted in gospel from childhood, Rayford’s music carries the intimacy, warmth, and lived experience of someone who has known hardship and joy in equal measure. After early years fronting R&B, funk, and blues bands in Southern California, his dynamic stage presence and unmistakable voice propelled him into a celebrated solo career, major blues collaborations, and award-winning recordings. His albums have topped charts, and he’s been repeatedly honored as Soul Blues Male Artist and B.B. King Entertainer of the Year.

Despite the accolades, Rayford remains above all a uniter—his live shows feel like a shared celebration filled with energy, honesty, and heart. Surrounded by an all-star roster of musicians on his latest projects, he continues to deliver music that calls people out with humor, lifts them up with soul, and brings them together with joy.

With the purchase of a ticket, Sapphire guests are eligible for The Riverside Hotel's "Sapphire Getaway" for $179 + tax. This rate is available for the night of the Sapphire Room show and includes a standard hotel room (double occupancy) and breakfast for two the following morning. To reserve, please call the Riverside Hotel front desk at 208-343-1871. The Sapphire Getaway rate is subject to availability and blackout dates. It will not be available for every show.
