Seeds of Caring

Children will practice gratitude by creating messages of thanks to first responders in our community.

Who this Anywhere Project is for:Ages 6-12. Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org.What you'll be doing:It’s important to practice gratitude because it reminds us of all the good things in our lives. Children will explore the power of gratitude and then put their learnings into practice by creating messages of thanks to first responders in our community. These messages will make first responders from the <a href="https://www.columbus.gov/Services/Public-Safety/Fire" title="https://www.columbus.gov/Services/Public-Safety/Fire" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Columbus Division of Fire</a> and the <a href="https://www.columbus.gov/Services/Public-Safety/Police" title="https://www.columbus.gov/Services/Public-Safety/Police" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Columbus Division of Police</a> feel appreciated and let them know kids in their community care about them.When you'll be doing it:This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are!This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate anytime until the project ends on February 22nd. Donations may be contact-free, porch-dropped from 9am - 7pm February 20th-22nd at a Seeds of Caring Ambassador's home in Clintonville, Upper Arlington, Grove City, or Lewis Center. Addresses are provided in the service packet.How it all works:Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. This project's guided discussion focuses on gratitude and kindness.Approximate Cost:No supply cost. Use crafts supplies on hand to create messages of gratitude.Why you'll be invited to donate:Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you.
