It is a time to settle deeply, quiet the noise of everyday life, and return to what is most essential in our heart-mind.This retreat is open to all, including those who are new to meditation or new to Zen practice. for the whole retreat or for any part that fits your life—a morning sit, an afternoon sit, or other reach out, and we can help you connect in a way that works.We offer both in-person and Zoom participation. You may attend entirely online, entirely in person, or a mix of both.<h2> 📅 Dates &amp; Times</h2>Saturday &amp; Sunday December 13–14, 2025 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (PT)Participants may join for the full day or for any individual block.<h2> 🧘‍♂️ What to Expect</h2>Our schedule follows a steady rhythm of meditation and mindful activity:<ul><li>25 minutes of zazen (seated meditation)</li><li>5 minutes of walking meditation (kinhin)</li><li>Periods of chanting</li><li>A daily teisho (Dharma talk) by Daniel Terragno, Roshi</li><li>Tea service and a mid-day break</li><li>Oryoki-style lunch for those attending in person</li></ul>Chairs are available, and we have ample cushion support. Please sit in whatever way is most comfortable for your body. <h2>🌐 Hybrid Participation</h2><ul><li>In-person: Rocks and Clouds Zendo, Sebastopol, CA</li><li>Online: Zoom link provided with registration. You are welcome to switch between in-person and online attendance as needed. </li></ul><h2>💛 Accessibility &amp; Flexibility</h2>We welcome:<ul><li>Beginners</li><li>Partial attendance</li><li>People who need to arrive late or leave early</li><li>Chair sitting</li><li>Mixed online/in-person participation</li></ul>No one is expected to “tough it out.” Come as you are, and participate in a way that supports your well-being and practice. <h2>💸 Suggested Donation</h2>$45 per day (sliding scale available). No one is turned away for lack of funds.Your donation supports our teacher, Daniel Terragno, Roshi, and helps sustain the Zendo.<h2>🏡 Out-of-Town Participants</h2>This is a commuter sesshin.
