How long is the walking route & is it accessible?

It is a perimeter walk around the historic district of downtown Sarasota. It is in 30-40 minute segments of moderate pace with stops for talking points. The route is long public walkways, both sidewalk and roads with varied terrain and potential trip hazards.

Does a person have to be in good health to do the tour?

It is the responsibility of each guest to know their ability to WALK several blocks over a few hours. If concerned, guests should consult with a medical professional. This is a timed event with reservations so the tour cannot be delayed by a guest with health concerns.

The restaurant expenses: food, sales tax and server gratuity. Water is served at each stop. The time and expert knowledge of the tour guide.

What is NOT included?

* Parking/transportation. Guests are expected to arrive 10 minutes prior to start time and to arrange a safe ride home. * Beverages can be purchased: sodas/tea, coffee, mocktails, cocktails.

Does the guide expect gratuity?

Tour guides are compensated primarily by gratuity. In some areas, it is the only way the guide is paid. Customary gratuity is 15%-20% of the ticket price for each guest.

Restaurant partners are already established and are not chosen by the guests. It is not always the same eateries each tour.

Reservations must be booked and paid in advance so that restaurant reservations can be made. Food allergies and dietary restrictions can be accommodated within reason, if disclosed upon booking. Due to potential allergy or health concerns of guests, smoking of any kind (cigarette, cigar, vape, etc) is prohibited throughout the duration of the tour, even while outside.
