Who is this event for?

This Orientation is for new members, renewing members, and anyone thinking about joining NBDA®. Doulas, trainees, and other birth workers are welcome.

Do I have to be an NBDA® member to attend?

No. You do not have to be a current member. We will walk you through what membership includes and how to join if you choose.

How much does it cost?

Membership Orientation itself is free. We will share information about paid membership options during the session.

Will there be a replay?

If the session is successfully recorded, a replay link may be shared with registered attendees. Live attendance is encouraged so you can ask questions in real time.

Do I need my camera on?

Cameras on are encouraged, but not required. You can still learn and participate through audio and chat if you prefer.

NBDA® Membership Orientation is one of the first spaces new and interested members step into with the National Black Doulas Association®. This is a warm, one-hour virtual session where you learn who we are, what membership includes, and how to plug into community and support.

In this session, you will:
• Hear what NBDA® stands for and who we serve
• Learn what membership includes and how it can support your doula journey
• See how to join, upgrade, or stay connected
• Have space to ask questions and feel welcomed into community

• Virtual on Zoom
