Question 1

Do I have to stay the entire time?

Accepted Answer

Nope! This is a day for you - come early, leave late, step away in the middle, we understand.  However, we hope you stay the whole time because it's going to be wonderful!  Also, you must be present to win a raffle prize, and winners are announced at 2:15 at the end of the closing session.

Question 2

Will the food meet my dietary restrictions?

Accepted Answer

We will have meat and veggie breakfast burritos, however they are not gluten free and they are small.  Please eat some breakfast ahead of time.  For lunch, Michelle Gapp typcially includes foods to meet most dietary restrictions.  However, if  you're concerned please bring some snacks.

Question 3

What is the optional social hour?

Accepted Answer

We wanted to give women a chance to really mingle outside of the scheduled day.  You don't have to stay, but if you do we'll have a cash bar and sparkling water.

Question 4

Can I come if I'm still pregnant?  What about a grandparent?  What about a foster parent?  A nanny?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  Of course.  This event is open to anyone who is a caregiver of children.  Though it will be mostly women, we do welcome all people.

Question 5

Can I bring my kids?

Accepted Answer

While we all love our kids, this day is meant as a moment for you away from your children. If your baby is tiny, we do welcome young "babies in arms".

Question 6

I'm coming without my baby but will need to pump my milk. Will there be a space for me to do so?

Accepted Answer

Yep! We will provide a comfortable and private spot for you to pump. But also know, you have the right to pump anywhere you are comfortable! You do you!

Question 7

I see you have some yoga at lunch.  Should I bring a mat?

Accepted Answer

Yes please!  We will have a few extras but if you plan to particpate in yoga we'd love if you brought your mat.

What is the book club option?

Accepted Answer
