Learn on location with hands-on instruction at fun photo destinations

<h4>Feb. 11 class &amp; Feb. 15 workshop on location</h4>Sports photography of any kind is full of challenges. The hands-on expedition will give you a solid approach to getting the shot and telling an action-packed story with your pictures.Dan's Bonus - Our friends from Sony will be bringing lots of high-end gear for you to use during the game, including long lenses and super-fast cameras that are perfect for sports photography. Take advantage of this opporunity to shoot with high-level professional gear!First, our online classroom session will provide you with tools and techniques to help you be more successful when shooting these fast-paced events. We'll be joined by our Sony representative and pro sports photograher Jason Etzel for this fun, informative session.You’ll learn about:<ul><li>Freezing the action</li><li>Anticipating movement</li><li>Getting better focus</li><li>Keying on specific players</li></ul>Then on game day we’ll meet at the PPL Center to photograph the Phantoms in action, an evening full of fast action and exciting photo opportunities. With exclusive access, you’ll get to shoot like a professional sports photographer, right up close to the action. Our instructors will be there to help you put your new skills into practice, so you can grab great action shots you’ll be proud of. <h3>Gear to consider:</h3>Recommended Gear for this outing:<ul><li>Digital SLR camera</li><li>Fast telephoto lens</li><li>Monopod for shooting from the press box</li><li>Plenty of memory cards and batteries, we'll be shooting a lot.</li></ul>Special considerations for this outing:<ul><li>Dress warmly, it's a bit chilly in the arena!</li><li>Wear comfortable walking shoes, it's a bit of a hike from the press box to the ice-level shooting area. If you have any special mobility requirements, please let us know ahead of time and we'll make sure we can help you out.</li><li>You must be at least 14 years of age to participate in this workshop.</li></ul>
