Is this a class?

Not technically. While I'm happy to answer questions and provide tips it's not a class in the sense that I'm actively teaching from a lesson plan. Additionally, other photographers are often there and will answer questions as well.

Question 2

Is this event family friendly?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! We've had toddlers and young kids come out with their parents and take photos on phones and kids cameras and stay the entire two hours. Plus, it's easy to leave at any time as we're rarely venture very far from the parking area.

Question 3

I have mobility issues can I still participate?

Accepted Answer

Of course! Piedmont Parks has great accessibility features that we only venture beyond if the group wants to and everyone can join in. So, if you have mobility issues just let me know when you arrive and we'll avoid going off the beaten path - there's still so much to see!

Can I show up late?

Accepted Answer

Since we begin right at 9:00 you might not easily find us if you're late. In addition, I often don't hear or feel my phone ringing so I miss calls, texts, and emails when leading the meetup. That said, if you know you'll be late well in advance let me know by text at 412.206.9364

Question 6

I'm late! What do I do, how do I find you?

The first place we go is down to the lake. Therefore, if you walk towards the northside of the lake (to the left when facing it) you might find us along the shore before the bridge and gazebo.

Question 7

Is there parking?

Accepted Answer

There are a lot of parking options near Piedmont Park. That said, I don't know of any that are free on Saturdays. However, you might find parking on one of the neighborhood side streets around the park. I've had good luck doing so!

Question 8

I need to leave early can I still come?

Accepted Answer

Sure, that's not a problem. We rarely venture too far from the starting area, at the absolute most about 15 minutes walk back. Therefore, you can absolutely come out for part of the time. Just let me know if you're leaving early so I know you didn't get abducted or lost.

Question 9

How do I get there without a car?

The Midtown MARTA stop is just over two blocks away and Piedmont Park is very accessible via buses. Accessibility via public transit is one of the reasons I'm hosting these meetups here.
