Whether you’re joining us for some or all of our gardening classes this year, you’ll gain lots of knowledge and expert advice from our Farm Manager, Mosa Shayan. This information series is perfect for backyard gardeners of all skill levels—see below for class descriptions.
Saturday, April 18: Tools & Composting
This two-in-one class will explore and review gardening tools for every day gardeners, including our Farm Manager’s own recommendations. You’ll also learn all about how to get started composting at home! Composting is a great way to recycle your food scraps and yard trim to save money by producing your own high-quality soil amendment.
Saturday, July 25: Perennial Plants
Perennial plant growing is a great way to ensure a beautiful blooms year after year! Mosa will guide you through the different types of perennials, choosing the right perennials for your space, and utilizing native perennials for a more sustainable bloom.
Saturday, September 19: Seed Saving
This class will guide you through harvesting, preparing, and saving your seeds to ensure a thriving and sustainable garden for years to come! Gardeners will have the opportunity to collect seeds from Middlebrook’s town garden to take home (primarily flower seeds and whatever else is available).
Each class is $15, or pay a discounted rate of $38 when you sign up for all three!
If you plan on attending all three classes, you should purchase the "Three Class Series" ticket to receive the discounted rate. Each participate will need their own ticket.
Each class requires a minimum of five registrations. If we don't hit that number, we may cancel the date. If we cancel, registrants will be alerted via email 24 hours in advance, and tickets will be refunded.
