Tampa Bay Women's Business Centre(WBC), is part of a national network of WBC's dedicated to helping  entrepreneurs to launch and grow their own businesses.Funded through the Federal office of Women's Business Ownership, our team of professionals help entrepreneurs with training and coaching in entrepreneurial readiness, business plan development, networking, strategic planning, finance preparedness, career transition and access to capital.From registering your business to hiring your first employee, we’re here to help you start and grow your local small business. Tampa Bay Women’s Business Centre is a WBC resource partner, funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration (SBA). The Office of Women’s Business Ownership’s mission is to establish and oversee a network of Women’s Business Centers (WBCs) throughout the United States and its territories. Through the management and technical assistance provided by the WBCs, entrepreneurs – especially women who are economically or socially disadvantaged – are offered comprehensive training and counseling on a vast array of topics to help clients start and grow their own businesses.It is currently the only WBC funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) on the West Coast of Florida serving the needs of start-ups and existing owned businesses in our area. Learn the essentials of federal tax responsibilities and smart strategies to help your start-up business succeed.

This virtual class will provide start-up business owners with practical tools to navigate federal tax responsibilities. During this session, we will:<ul><li>Explain the purpose of an Employer Identification Number (EIN)</li><li>Describe basic recordkeeping requirements for tax purposes</li><li>Define basic bookkeeping systems and accounting methods</li><li>Explain different types of business structures</li><li>Define the Sharing/Gig Economy</li><li>Offer guidance on choosing a paid tax professional</li></ul> This free event is designed to empower new business owners with the knowledge to make informed decisions, build a strong financial foundation, and set their businesses up for long-term success. *Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. Natalya Vasko serves as a Stakeholder Liaison with the IRS Communication and Liaison Division in Tampa, Florida. In her role, she collaborates with a wide range of taxpayer community groups and small business resource partners, delivering key outreach messages and fostering meaningful connections.A first-generation immigrant from Eastern Europe, Natalya holds a Ph.D. in Economics. Before joining the IRS, she worked in the education field and gained valuable experience in the private sector, where she ran her own business.Natalya is a proud mother of two and remains actively involved in her community.
