Designed for different levels of experience, this small workshop invites 3 students at a time to learn and practice handbuilding techniques.

Handbuilding Classes 2-Week Handbuilding ClassWinter Session 1 This 2-week handbuilding class is suitable for all levels of experience. The class is limited to three students, which allows <a href="https://www.instagram.com/landiscarey_ceramics/" title="https://www.instagram.com/landiscarey_ceramics/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ceramic Artist Landis Carey</a> to tailor instruction to each student's ability.During the course, you will:<ul><li>Learn different handbuilding techniques</li><li>Explore one handbuilding technique in depth by completing a selected project</li><li>Methods of finishing, including underglazing</li><li>The basics of glazing and firing your finished work</li></ul>Classes will combine demonstrations and personalized instruction and will allow plenty of time to complete your project.Who Should Enroll: Beginning and experienced handbuilders. No prior experience in ceramics is necessary. Ages 16+Course Duration: 2 weeks, with one 2-hour session per week.Course Dates* &amp; Times:11:30 am - 1:30 pm | Fridays: January 23 and 30*Students must be able to attend all sessions; there are no make-up dates.Materials: All necessary materials, including clay, tools, and glazes, are provided. Students are encouraged to bring an apron or wear clothing that can get messy.Cost: $200 - This ticket covers both sessions and materials.
