Our expert, Chef Rob, will guide you through the process of selecting, preparing, and cooking various types of seafood. In this introductory class about fish and shellfish, we will talk about how to select seafood for freshness, sustainability and seasonality. Together we will learn techniques for cutting and filleting large and small fish, shucking oysters, cleaning squid, and dealing with shellfish.

Then we'll take our hard work and create 4 delicious recipes together. Nonalcoholic beverages will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

* Oysters on the half shell with Mignonette Sauce

* Frito Misto - fried shrimp and squid

* Moules Marinières - steamed mussels in white wine

*Red Snapper Crudo
