The Christmas market provides an opportunity to meet with & shop the designers from both Cohort 1 & 2 of The Fashion Residency.

Back by popular demand is our annual Christmas Market of clothes and accessories from exceptional early career designers from The Fashion Residency at Studio Smithfield, including: Cohort 1, 2024-25: Paolo Carzana, Pauline Dujancourt, Laura Pitharas, Paolina Russo, Karoline Vitto, Yaku. Cohort 2, 2025-26: Joyce Bao, Renata Brenha, Petra Fagerstrom, Harri, Masha Popova, Eden Tan. Created by Mayor of London, Projekt and Paul Smith’s Foundation, with support from British GQ, and enabled through support from the City of London Corporation. The Fashion Residency is a unique business development programme for early career fashion designers, including a free studio space for 18 months at Studio Smithfield in the heart of London, funded by the Mayor of London and Projekt. “There’s nothing like this programme out there. I’ve done things before where there’s been mentoring promised in some way, shape or form, but it doesn’t really happen or doesn’t really feel like it’s helping you to improve. This has been really surprising. There’s so much guidance and nurturing that you get, which is unmatched.” About Paul Smith’s Foundation Paul Smith’s Foundation supports early career creative people working in fashion, visual arts, and design.Through in depth and bespoke business mentoring, the Foundation equips creatives with the insight, tools, and network they need to establish and sustain a healthy business for the long term.Through partnerships, we create paid opportunities to freely make, encouraging curiosity and experimentation without financial burden, whilst nurturing potential to help shape a dynamic and enterprising creative sector.
