Wills for Heroes Clinic: In Partnership with the City of Charlotte
Wills for Heroes is a free legal clinic serving first responders offered by the North Carolina Bar Foundation.
Wills for Heroes is a free legal clinic offered by the North Carolina Bar Foundation in which volunteer attorneys draft simple wills, health care power of attorney, advance directives, and financial power of attorney documents for first responders and their families, free of charge. This year, the NCBF will be expanding Wills for Heroes and hosting the Corridors of Opportunity Wills Clinic, in partnership with the City of Charlotte. The NCBF will be hosting the Corridors of Opportunity Wills Clinic in partnership with the City of Charlotte and the Mecklenburg County Bar. This Wills for Heroes will host first responders and residents from the community to promote upward mobility and generational wealth for residents of the City of Charlotte.
Those who are eligible for this clinic include local residents from specific zip codes and sworn firefighters, law enforcement officers, and EMS personnel. When registering, please be sure to select the correct ticket type.
Example: For a 10 am ticket slot, First responders will choose ticket type: 10:00 am Meeting with Attorney (First Responder), and local residents will choose 10:00 am Meeting with Attorney (Local Residents).
The clinic will be held at the Allegra Westbrooks Regional Library (2412 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216).
By completing this registration, you are committing to one in-person meeting on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
If you are registering with your spouse, please register for only 1 time slot and note "spouse attending" where indicated in the registration process. Please be sure to select the appropriate ticket during registration: first responder or local resident ticket.
