An Evening with Ayodele Casel

Join us for an intimate evening with internationally acclaimed tap dancer, choreographer, and writer Ayodele Casel — a Doris Duke Artist and one of The New York Times’s “Biggest Breakout Stars of 2019.” In this special event, Casel curates a night with a selection of her favorite works and poetry, accompanied by a live trio of musicians.

Through rhythm, story, and dance, Casel invites audiences into her world — where tap becomes a language of identity, culture, and legacy. Known for works such as Chasing Magic, While I Have the Floor, and The Remix (NYT Critic’s Pick), Casel has redefined the possibilities of tap as a deeply expressive art form.
