SCULPTED SEASHELLS: A WET FELTING WORKSHOP

The Exeter Fine Crafts gallery opened for business in October, 1966, with its mission to promote crafts and craftsmanship in New Hampshire. Today, the mission remains the same. Our retail shop is a great place to find wonderful handcrafted work made by skilled artisans. In addition, we offer a variety of high quality craft classes for adults and professional craftspeople in our downstairs studios.

Bring the beauty of the shore indoors! In this workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of wet felting by sculpting realistic, three-dimensional seashells over a resist. You will master the basic technique to form, shape, and hollow these beautiful shells, creating a variety of sizes and textures. By the end of the session, you’ll take home your collection of felted treasures. Please Note: Wet felting involves a rolling motion paced in 5-minute increments; participants must be comfortable with this physical movement. All necessary materials are included in the fee, but students must bring a large towel and a spray bottle to class.
